Rapid Release
The days of waiting 6 months to a year for the next in the series are gone unless you are traditionally published. Romance readers are voracious so they are always wanting the next in the series immediately. Rapid-release is the answer and it is gaining popularity in the publishing world.
Releasing a book every 6-weeks to keep momentum up between books; setting the books up on pre-order and having universal links (purchase links to all the retailers) in the ebooks so that the reader can ‘pre-purchase’ the next book while your book is on their mind. This works best if you have all the manuscripts edited and proofed already. Then, set up the pre-orders and forget about them while you continue writing or getting production finished. (just don’t forget to upload the final files before the deadline.)

eBookBuilders Formatting Process
- Manuscript is ran through word-processing assessment for special characters, formatting styles etc.
- If author/publisher wishes for images at headings and scene changes, a selection of images will be sent to chose from. Client may choose one or suggest others.
- First draft of print pdf will be sent to client for approval or list of any changes needed – usually within 24 hours of E-BB receiving files. This will also be the process for digital editions only as well but a print edition PDF will not be finalized or sent, it is only to make sure all special paragraph styles are addressed.
- Corrections or changes (to formatting) should be submitted in list format with page number and the complete sentence as it reads in the draft and what the sentence/paragraph is suppose to be (text message, flash back, etc.)
- Correction to grammar should be submitted in list format with page number, the complete sentence as it reads in the draft AND the complete sentence as it should actually be.
- If corrections/changes requested, 2nd draft sent for approval.
- Final formatting check to include: Metadata correctly input, ToC correctly linked, Fully functioning NCX, ePub check for validation
- Final file formats sent to author/publisher for uploading to retailers and/or distributors.
Miscellaneous Information
- eBook cover in the specified file size for each retailer – approx 1600px x 2560px will meet all minimum/maximum requirements in most cases.
- To make sure that your backlist of books are always available to future readers, it is suggested to use a global book like such as Books2Read to link each book to every online platform. Doing this will ensure that even years from now, if you have lost your Author Website or changed sites, readers will still be able to find your books (and you don't have to worry about having to continuously update your backlist)
- At last check, Calibre’s ebook view was inserting random characters and code into formatted ebooks, for best viewing results please download Kindle Previewer (http://smarturl.it/AMZPreviewer) and/or Adobe Digital Editions (http://smarturl.it/AdobeADE)
